With the occasion of the accounting balance of 2009, Teen Challenge Romania wants to thank those who chose to financially support the organization, by redirecting 2% of the income tax. The legal ‘2%’ has brought a valuable income in the last year.
About 2%
Starting 2007, citizens can finance civil society organization, by redirecting a part (2%) of the income tax detained by the state to an NGO or a foundation.
For the taxpayer, this doesn’t mean he will pay something or pay more. From the income tax that is already detained by the employer and given to the State, the State will put in the appointed organization’s account a part of the money. Moreover, the directing of 2% by the taxpayer to an organization doesn’t have anything to do with the employer, being something that is done between the employee and the State.
How is it made
The employees:
In every March, the employers have the obligation of giving their employees a copy of the individual tax report. If you are employed and haven’t received it yet, ask your employer for it. A copy of the tax report, along with the 230 form will be send by the employer to the address of the Financial Administration he belongs to. The form must be sent by April 15.
Freelancers:
On the 4th page of the 200 Declaration, there is the 3rd chapter, where you can fill in the information regarding redirecting the 2% of income tax.
You don’t need to fill out the ‘sum’ column. The Financial Administration will calculate the 2% out of the tax income.
