Methadone Distributions Centers

Throughout Bucharest there are many methadone distribution Centers, where hundreds of hopeless young people come to take their daily dose. We have the opportunity to come in such a place to let these dependent persons get to know us, gain their trust, and start building a different perspective of life in their minds. Most of them think there is no way out, but we atTeen Challenge Romania haveseen thousands of young people around the globe getting out of this situation and living free today.

Methadone is a synthetic drug and has more addictive affects than heroin (it is harder to withdraw from it than from heroin). You basically live to take your daily dose.

In these centers, we build new relationships and present our residential recovery program. An important part of the team are former addicts that finished our program, or are from outside Romania and have been former drug and methadone addicts and now live successful lives. That really brings hope to many, but suspicion to others that are set in their minds that they will be forever addicts.
