Detox Centers

The Detox Centers offer medical treatment in order to withdraw from heroin use.
Many patients here are desperate and hope that this time after the physical Detox, they will not return to drugs. Unfortunately most of them do, because physical addiction is less powerful than the psychological addiction.

We have gotten involve in these centers to maximize their decision to withdraw from using drugs through straightening their motivation, and offering more info about Teen Challenge Recovery Center.

The fact that almost all patients from Detox Centers return to using drugs after the physical detox process strengthens the Teen Challenge philosophy, which agrees that the proper approach is the holistic approach (physical, physic, emotional, social, professional and spiritual). We have crafted our recovery program in such a way.

We have a tremendous collaboration with the staff of these centers. They’ve seen our work and have learned to trust us. And now they present our program to their patients, and encourage them to go to our Recovery Center.

The visits at the Detox Centers are just one day a week, but are followed by many hours of follow up (calls from/to the addicts, visits in their family, etc).

Many of the students we have at the Recovery Center today are there due to the two outreaches we have in the Methadone and Detox Centers.
